Meet The Team

Dr Hallam is the principal and owner of Meon Face. He qualified in dentistry at Birmingham University in 1971 and set up his cosmetic Dental Practice, Meon Dental, in 1988 before establishing Meon Face.

His passion is enhancing facial beauty using the latest non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatments.

Dr Hallam is a visiting clinical teacher in facial aesthetics for the MSc course in Aesthetics at Kings College London and has lectured at numerous aesthetic conferences. He is an accredited UK trainer for Silhouette Soft thread lifts and a key opinion leader for Venus Viva. He is a judge for the MyFaceMyBody Awards USA and Australia and the Aesthetic Dentistry awards and has been invited onto the editorial board of the Aesthetic Dentistry Today magazine. He has had 16 articles and case presentations published.

Dr Hallam is a member of the International Academy of Advanced Facial Aesthetics, The Association of Dental Implantology and the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He was the winner of the award for facial aesthetics at the prestigious MyFaceMyBody Awards 2013, the Smile Awards 2011 & 2012 and the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards 2013, 2015.

During his student days, Ian was selected for the Olympic Games as a racing cyclist and subsequently became a double Olympic medalist, World Championship medalist and triple Commonwealth Champion. He was awarded an MBE for services to cycling in 1978. After retiring from cycle racing, Ian took up windsurfing and went on to finish 5th in the Windsurfing World championships.

Ian is married with one son who is works in London, a daughter who works in the aesthetics industry, a daughter who is at university studying drama and one granddaughter.

Joanna is our practice manager, skin consultant and treatment co-ordinator at Meon Face. She carries out Advanced Electrolysis to treat skin problems and blemishes, such as moles, keratosis, pigmented areas, tags and thread veins. She is also qualified to carry out aesthetic treatments using botox and dermal fillers. She also works as a chairside surgery assistant for Dr Hallam and she has worked at the practice for over 20 years and has a great deal of experience in putting patients at their ease. Joanna won the award for Best Practice Manager at the prestigious MyFaceMyBody Awards 2015 and the award for Outstanding Individual of the Year at the Private Dentistry Awards 2010. She was also a finalist at The Dental Awards 2015.

Julia graduated from Chichester University, with an honours degree in media communications and has undertaken several positions within leading organisations such as SMG and Aspire Magazine. During her placement at Aspire she specifically worked on the beauty pages which enabled her to develop her interest in the beauty industry.

After having her family she studied with the Open University home study course in Nail Extention, Acrylics and Bio Sculpture to fit around her young family. She then decided to change careers and studied at the Southern School of Beauty, where she achieved her various Diplomas in Beauty Therapy.

Since working at Meon Face, in addition to gel peels and facials, Julia has qualified in advanced beauty treatments such as IPL permanent hair removal, 3D-Lipo fat reduction and Venus Viva skin resurfacing, rejuvenation and RF skin tightening.

Kerry is a qualified beauty therapist and also carries out our advanced beauty treatments, including brow microblading, IPL, 3D-Lipo and Venus Viva, as well as facials, peels and nails.
